Default Learning resources and stuff for exams

Here at UofT Meds students have produced and stumbled upon some great learning resources which were shared with other classes over the years. I am posting some onto this forum for you can use these resources, improve them, and pass them onto future students.

Please keep in mind that some of these resources were initially made by students for their personal use. So I cannot vouch for them being perfect. But I think you may find them useful as you move through your first year.

I know there are many more resources out there from previous years. As I acquire more or digitize those that I have I will update the list.

In the coming weeks I hope to develop a more secure medsoc online learning resource bank. So keep an eye out for that!

1) List of things tested in the past on STF bell ringers (Anatomybellringer 2007.pdf)

2) OSCE practice summery (OSCE SLIDES.pdf) <-- Full version now uploaded (09/06/09)!

3) Article on how to get involved in research (research.pdf)

4) PBL resources list (Problem Based Learning Resources by Mina Atia.doc)

5) Primal Pictures/Anatomy.tv

6) Jarvis Physical Examination & Health Assessment videos <-- GOOD FOR ROCKING ASCM!

Post DOCH-1 Notes for January Exam

Hey 1T3's,

Your DOCH-1 reps here! We hope your presentations went well last week. Please let us know if you have any concerns regarding the presentations or the upcoming exam. Exam?? Right, exam...In the midst of poring over limbs and embryology, you may have forgotten that we have a DOCH test coming up on January 20. But not to worry just yet!

We recently received some reading summary notes that a very kind 1T0 student had put together back in the day, and these notes have been passed from class to class since then. Some of you may have them already from friends in upper years. But to make the preparation easier for everyone, we thought we'd pass them along to you all! The notes are a summary of some of the lecture material, as well as some of the chapters in the Shah textbook.
Oh and if you find any discrepancies between the files and the material we've covered in class, please let us know.

The notes are in the zip file attached.

Also, we have an email account set up for this course: 1T3doch@gmail.com(password: dochcourse), so if you have any additional notes or questions, you can post them there.

Yours Truly,
Julie Napolskikh & Jessica Duby

Thanks so much for posting these resources. I can't seem to access the problem based learning document. Whenever I click on it, I am asked to sign in and then when I sign in it still won't let me open it. Do I need to have special registration. I'm really not computer savvy at all so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much again for posting these links and documents

Take care!
