"St. Chris" is a charitable, secular organization that runs neighbourhood centres across Toronto. It has been serving diverse individuals, families, and groups in the downtown west-end of Toronto since 1912, and works to promote personal and social change in order to achieve a safe, healthy, and accepting society for everyone.

St. Christopher House guiding principles include:

• Assisting people to meet individual and family needs
• Promoting access to full participation in society by addressing barriers
• Providing the tools and opportunities for people to control their own lives and take on leadership in the community
• Build bridges within and across communities
• Advocate for changes in social systems that will ensure dignity, quality of life, and equal opportunities for all

The Meeting Place at 588 Queen St. West provides an adult drop-in program, where members of the community are provided a warm place to socialize and relax. This branch of St. Chris has a partnership with IMAGINE to offer health education sessions to interested participants. In the future, we hope to also offer basic screening clinics (e.g. hypertension) and facilitate access to care.
